This dynamic sensor provides real-time power status and temperature readings every two seconds, feeding critical data directly back to your Room Alert monitor for data logging, alerting, and automatic corrective action.

Non-Invasive, Plug & Play Installation Historically, monitoring power meant physically cutting open power cords, hiring electricians to wire panels, or unplugging running devices. This innovative sensor eliminates those risks. It simply straps to the outside of any existing AC electrical cord, providing instant, non-invasive monitoring. No downtime, no wire modification, and no electrician required. It connects seamlessly to compatible Room Alert monitors via a standard RJ-11 jack for true “Plug & Play” deployment.

Dual-Condition Monitoring

• Active Power Detection: If the connected device draws more than approximately 100W, the sensor detects the current and registers the status as ‘Active’ (highly accurate within +/- 2.5 watts).

• Temperature Tracking: Originally developed for data centers to track server exhaust heat, this sensor actively monitors surrounding temperatures from -40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C). Tracking gradual temperature increases helps warn you of potential hardware failure or power consumption spikes before they cause downtime.

Versatile Applications Anything with an AC power cord can be effectively monitored. Secure critical IT hardware like servers, firewalls, switches, and phone systems, or deploy it in non-IT environments to monitor HVAC units, portable air conditioners, sump pumps, freezers, and more.
