The PAMIX ASLT-SS01 Aerial Figure 8 Optical Fiber Outdoor Cable is a self-supporting cable specifically engineered for highly reliable aerial installations. Built with a robust Figure-8 cross-section that incorporates a heavy-duty steel rope, this cable easily spans outdoor gaps while providing superior protection for the internal fiber cores against mechanical stress and harsh weather conditions.
General Construction & Design

Core Configuration: Features a single central loose tube made of PBT (Polybutylene terephthalate), filled with a thixotropic jelly compound to protect up to 12 individually colored optical fibers (EIA/TIA 598 standard colors).

Armoring & Moisture Protection: Wrapped in a corrugated steel tape (0.22 – 0.25 mm thickness) and integrated with water-blocking materials to prevent moisture ingress and provide excellent crush resistance.

Self-Supporting Strength: The Figure-8 design includes a stranded metal steel rope (Nom. 7 × 0.8 mm) that acts as the primary strength member for aerial suspension.

Outer Sheath: Enclosed in a durable, single Black MDPE outer sheath (1.6 mm ± 0.1 thickness) with an overall cable dimension of 5.0 × 9.5 mm. A ripcord is included under the sheath for easy stripping.
